He is the author of five books, including the award-winning 'People Powered' (Harper Collins) and 'The Art Of Community' (O'Reilly) and he writes for Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and others.

He is the creator of the 'Community Experience Masterclass' and the 'Community Ignition Workshop' where he has trained hundreds of students in how to build communities. What kind of consulting do you provide?

I help you (1) build a clear community strategy, (2) train crisp tactical skills, and (3) provide feedback and guidance in execution and optimization.

Will you build a community for us?

No. Outsourcing community just doesn't work. Your members want to engage with you and your team, and I help businesses build skills and results.

Which industries do you work with?

I don't limited which industries I work with, and I have had clients in software, consumer, hardware, services, pharma, financial services, and more.

Do I need an existing community?

No. I often work with clients who want to optimize an existing community, build crisp engagement and work, and get better, more predictable results.

Do work with building internal communities?

Absolutely. I have worked with many clients to help them build an optimize internal employee communities as well as communities of practice.

Do you work with technical communities?

Yes. I cut my teeth in my career in deep technical communities and have worked with open source, cloud, hardware, blockchain, and other clients.

What resources do I need?

You will need a dedicated community manager to own your overall community program. However, I often work with clients before they have hired a community resource, and I can help with hiring.

Will you help me recruit community staff?

I am not a recruiter, however, I often help my clients put together role descriptions, recommend good potential candidates, and interview and provide feedback on candidates.
