Fortunately, as the Internet continues to spread, more and more people are building communities. As such, we have a growing corpus of experience, and importantly, mistakes we can learn from.

Learning from failure is a critical component of how we grow. Community management offers rich potential here because it is chock-full of strategic and tactical decisions. We have to build a diverse tapestry of experience that weaves together strategy, growth, incentives, psychology, and more to net an overall successful community.
